Dog and Cat Clipart for Humane Education

I created these pet clip art images from photos I took of animals at my local animal control shelter. There are so many wonderful dogs and puppies and cats and kittens in the animal shelters across America that need homes. Please consider the adoption option and save a life. To help my pet rescue group save more pets please consider adding link back to Tangi Adopt A Rescue http://taar.petfinder.com These pet graphics would be great to diplay on personal, pet, and Humane Society web sites.

Many of the unwanted animals come from people that didn't spay and neuter their pets and allowed them to produce litters. Ever litter hurts. Please help spread the news about the importance of spay and neuter by saving these graphics and inserting them into your out going emails. Or post them on your website, blog, or MySpace page.

The over population of unwanted pets is not an animal problem it is a people problem. They are dependent on us for their care and well being.

Adopt A Shelter Pet

Puppy mills stay in business because so many people aquire their pets from pet stores. Please visit your local animal shelter to look for your next pet. Most animal shelters have a wide assortment of dogs and puppies and cat and kittens to cloose from. About twenty five percent of the dogs are purebred. So if you have your heart set on a certain breed it just might be their waiting for you. Give the animal shelter animals a chance; you are saving a life.

Remember that pedigree papers do NOT mean you are getting a guarantee of a quality healthy pet. On average mixbred dogs are know to have less health problems than purebred dogs.

Our local animal shelter has had some of the following: purebred poodle puppy, tiny yokie mix puppies, purebred pug, sheltie, collie, German Shepherd dogs and puppies, lab puppies - black, yellow, and chocolate. And many others. Please just consider looking there first. You don't even have to go there in person. You can start your search online at petfinder.com.

Lost Pet - Found Pet, Mark your pets!

Too many pets wind up at the animal shelter because they get lost and cannot find their way back home. If someone finds them, will they be able to contact you? Lost pets don't have to be lost forever.

Put a Name tag on their collar. Consider a microchip because collars can come off. Or even tattoo your pet. Do all you can to guarantee that someone that finds them can contact you.

I belong to a pet rescue group, Tangi Adopt A Rescue and you might want to visit our site www.taar.petfinder.com for more spay and neuter info and lost and found pet info.

PLEASE CROSSPOST

The historic website www.DogsInDanger.com is featured in

next week's edition of People Magazine, on newsstands this Sunday, March 1st. People Magazine has 40 million readers, more than all the major television news networks combined.

After its launch a few months ago being reported by hundreds of television and newspaper reports, over 330 animal control agencies in the country now utilize it as a specialized "adoption portal" only for animal control shelters.

WE URGE YOU to take a copy of People magazine to your local animal control agency shelter or municipal animal pound and demand that they register and start posting their dogs. After all, it is all free, and who can argue against saving lives and governmental monies!

Founded by the brother of Companion Animal Network Executive Director Garo Alexanian after a successful pilot website created by C.A.N. for NY City Animal Control, over 3,600 adoptions of dogs on death row have occurred through www.DogsInDanger.com in the few months it has been in existence.

Four servers have been placed online to handle the expected overwhelming public reaction. It is our way of telling the nation that SHELTER ANIMALS MUST BE GIVEN ADOPTION PRIORITY BY THE PUBLIC.

Thank you for being the voice of those who are dying every day because people are simply unaware that animals are being killed in their community due to people buying and breeding.

Pug Checks 3 years ago

Hi! Joni Solis! I'm just wondering if I can put these pictures on my personalized checks? You know, I would also like to do my part in telling the whole world that animals have also the right to live a safe, healthy and beautiful life just like us human beings & i'm glad I've found some people like you who felt the same way! These clip art images sure would be awesome to look at if we can put them on our personalized checks. I just purchased my own pug checks from this site: http://www.onlychecks.com/pug-checks.html. You might also want to check this out and see how you can put some of your pictures on your check.

Wow, yes, custom photo checks is a great idea. I checked out that site and the pug checks are so cute!

I contacted them and found out the image file size needed to make custom photo checks...

1. Pictures must be at least 432 pixels wide and 198 pixels tall.

2. Pictures must be at least 36 dpi (dots per inch)

3. Pictures must be under 4MB in file size

To me 36 dpi - seems too low for good print quality.

I would save image at least 300 dots per inch which would be an image 1350 pixels wide and 619 pixels tall.

I will have to make a few at this size so people can make Spay and Neuter message checks.

Beautiful Hub Joni!!

I wish i had more space to adopt as many animals as i could! I think people should always choose abandoned and homeless animals, to take home just as much as us all recycling things!! ;)

Joni Solis profile image

Joni Solis Hub Author 3 years ago

Recycling, yes, I wish more people would consider recycling in a serious way. We do not recycle enough.

Just yesterday I was at Walmart and they had a recycling bin for plastic, but it was emtpy, so my sister asked about what plastic do they recycle and no one at that WalMart could give her an answer. They had no idea or any idea about what day was the pickup.

The famous wallmart!,

Im from the UK and i wish i had a dollar(maybe a pound! its worth more!) for every-time i heard this shops name!

Your story does not surprise me!!

Regards adopting animals, i think people should think about adopting children!, You can still be good loving parents although there is nothing biological going on!!

Help, please read about the 176 animals killed at my local animal shelter, and they are not giving us any reasons that sound reasonable...The Tangipahoa Parish Animal Shelter in Hammond, Louisiana is in the news…

Joni Solis Hub Author 18 months ago

Thank you Art 4 Life. I wish more people would rescue pets from the highway. More spay and neuter is needed and there would be less pets needing to be rescued from the roads.

Did you know that most communities spend about $125 or more to catch, hold, and then kill a pet in the animal shelter, but little to nothing to help people to spay and neuter their pets to cut the shelter killings.

Please ask your community to put into place programs that cut down on the number of pets killed in shelters. Spay and neuter help for poor people's pets reduces the numbers of pets that end up in our shelters.
